Nikki Allemani's Biography...
Nikki Allemani began her counseling career in 2010 as an undergrad apprentice. In 2011, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology and sociology. Ms. Allemani continued to work under clinical supervision and studied to become a Georgia Certified Addiction Counselor, which she has maintained active status since October of 2012. Not to mention, she recently earned her addiction certification at the national level in 2016. She is currently finishing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and will complete this in October 2017.
Ms. Allemani's professional experience primarily has been counseling within the criminal justice system, such as Accountability Courts (Drug, DUI, Veterans, etc.), probationers/parolees, and the Department of Family and Children's Services. However, her experience is not limited to the crimonegencis of additions. She is also trained in the co-occuring factors that result in substance abuse like ADHD, bi-polar, PTSD, etc.
Ms. Allemani is dedicated to a lifelong adventure of learning various ways to meet the diverse needs of her clients. Her therapeutic approach falls under the Cognitive-Behavioral theories, in which Ms. Allemani believes that by changing our thought process, we can promote healthier behaviors and social interactions. Furthermore, she is dedicated to collaborating with the criminal justice system in order to better assist all clients and their families.
